This collaboration presents two striking interactive installations and two specially designed brand activations that merge the delicate tactility of cashmere with the sensibility of the digital age.

The Selpak Cashmere Launch reimagines the silky softness of cashmere as more than a material, transforming it into an experiential environment where visual, sonic, and technological elements intertwine to create an immersive sensory journey. Through DECOL Studio’s artistic intervention, the pleasurable touch promised by Selpak Cashmere evolves into a digital ritual of contact; awakening tactile memory and inviting visitors into a journey of sensory discovery. Reinterpreting the elegance of cashmere through the language of contemporary art, the works deepen the relationship between product and visitor through a distinctive aesthetic expression.

Interactive Immersive Experience

In Woven by Touch, DECOL seeks to expand immersive experience beyond sight and sound by making the pleasure of touch an integral part of the work itself. Using a surface woven from cashmere, the installation transforms the sensation of pleasurable touch into an enveloping digital environment.

In collaboration with electronic textile artist Afra Sönmez, a 100% cashmere-textured fabric is transformed into a responsive tactile interface, where the softness of the material becomes an interactive sensor surface.

Every delicate gesture across the cashmere fabric is instantly translated into digital data. Within DECOL’s audiovisual universe, these interactions evolve into an immersive environment that surrounds the visitor like a living digital weave.

Fluid particle systems are designed to evoke the subtle movement of cashmere fibers, while digital strands emerge, stretch, and dissolve according to the rhythm of each touch.

As visitors move their hands across the surface, every interaction generates a unique visual composition. Each gesture becomes a digital echo of the tactile sensation of cashmere, creating an ever-evolving "pattern of pleasure."

Combining Afra Sönmez’s sensitivity to textile with DECOL’s visual and sonic language, the installation demonstrates how cashmere can embody the same elegance in both physical and digital realms.

Woven by Touch is the digital counterpart of the sensation left behind by the touch of cashmere.

Echoes of an Embrace is an interactive sound experience that explores touch, intimacy, and softness through sound. It approaches the embrace not merely as a physical act, but as an encounter that continues to resonate through time.

DECOL Studio collaborated with Ogün Kayıkçı to realize the conceptual framework of the work, developing both its technical system and spatial organization. The installation is structured around the relationship between a cashmere textile surface and sound through a touch-responsive interface.

The visitor’s gestures and proximity to the textile surface are translated into musical note data that determines the evolving sonic composition. This musical information gains meaning through the compositional language and aesthetic framework developed by composer and sound designer İzel Baybars.

Rather than producing an instantaneous reaction, this approach transforms touch into an experience of continuity; an intimate and embodied dialogue that unfolds over time.

The integration of technical infrastructure and sonic aesthetics defines the coherence of the installation. Touch, proximity, and softness converge into a single sensory field, where physical contact becomes the point of departure that shapes the direction and continuity of sound.

Within this context, the embrace ceases to be a fleeting gesture; it becomes an evolving relationship that continues to exist within the body, memory, and space. Rather than assigning a fixed meaning to the relationship between touch and sound, Echoes of an Embrace leaves this bond open to interpretation, existing as a state of intimacy shaped by each visitor’s perception.

Woven by Motion is an immersive viewing experience that interprets the soft world of Selpak Cashmere through movement, flow, and tactility. Surrounded by curved LED surfaces, visitors enter an environment where digitally generated motion graphics transform softness into a visual language.

The work consists of four animated sequences inspired by the ideas of layering, delicate fibers, cashmere, and wholeness. Fluid forms and gentle transitions unite the layered structure of toilet paper with the tactile harmony of cashmere within a shared visual universe.

At the center of the experience, a tactile seating element completes the installation through physical interaction. Visitors experience the softness of Selpak Cashmere not only visually but also bodily, where touch, movement, and vision merge into a single sensory experience.

Woven by Motion redefines softness; not simply as a material quality, but as a feeling, a continuous flow, and an immersive experience.
